Hoping people will want to discuss things even if it's just about their day. Many forums I've been a part of over the years have had a "how's your day" section, and this is a good thing because it makes people post more, without obligation to have something really clever to say.
However, I'm Swedish and a Christian, just ordinary, not particularly good at anything but I have lots of interests, and do a lot of things. I just enjoy chatting and connecting with likeminded people when there is a nice environment to do that. I'm an oncology nurse and currently work in a palliative care unit. I love music and play a few instruments. I also love fiddling with cameras and computers. I have a house, a husband and a lovely kitty cat.
What about you?

Heyyy, wow, a nice new member! Welcome! We could certainly have a forum/thread like that, where people just talk about small things (though I can easily imagine subjects getting bigger). That's one reason we set up the chat box at the bottom, but a thread like that is good as well, or maybe it'd better. I'm supposed to be doing something else now, so I'll set it up later today (or maybe Gabe will do it). I haven't posted anything lately since Gabe is my husband and Quagmire is my son, so Consuming Fire is the only one that posts frequently that I don't see all the time in real life . . . so not much incentive for posting online here! But you found us, and we'd love to see you stay and perhaps more will join and form a nice, encouraging community. That's what it's all about. So thanks for joining and letting us know about you.
When Gabe saw a Susanne on yesterday, he thought that it might be my oldest friend, Suzanne. That would've been very different! She doesn't like to do online things with me, and I don't blame her for not wanting to do more than necessary on the internet. Her mom's family is also from Sweden and she's been there, but I'm afraid she's apostate. I'm not positive, and I have hope for her, but she doesn't want to talk about it. So many people equate Christianity with far-right American politics, that they don't see anything else (and they even tend to think if you're Christian you are far right politically). If one reads what Christ said, instead of what some who claim to follow Christ say and do, it's easy to see the difference. One comes to wonder if the example of false followers is the real reason for not following Christ, or if it's just a convenient cover for simply not wanting Christ in one's life (it's always easy to deflect and makes excuses). Anyway, very cool. Your work must be hard, and hopefully rewarding at times too; please share anything you want about that in the forums here. The Lord bless you!

Yo Susanne welcome to the last bastion of humanity on the internet. If you cant tell, this board is awesome, period. If you also cant tell, I'm in charge of the Funny picture thread. Which is a good thing because that's the only place anyone ever posts anything. Anyway thank you for joining! I am looking forward to your next post with great eagerness.

Thanks for the quick and nice response!! And I totally agree about that extreme far-right American Christians, and that type is also the type of Christians that are "famous" over here. The right followers of Christ to me are those mentioned in Matthew 25:34-45 (one of my favourite places in the Bible, it tells in detail what attitude we should have as Christians), about feeding the hungry and visiting people in prison, etc. I can't say I'm good at doing that but I kind of see my job as something like that, taking care of the sick and dying. My job can be tough at times but as you say it's very rewarding as well, and I've always seen it as a privilege to be able to make a difference for people and even be paid to do it. Now there is bad stuff going on at work (I'll likely talk about that more in detail later) and I don't know how long I'll continue working there. We'll see. I guess right now I can only say that I need a lot of prayers about the future career-wise. How I've been looking for a forum like this. A forum for nice sound Christians who are not after judging other people, but just to have fellowship. As far as I know there is only one left, one I found ages ago, it was after I had been in some really bad forums, full of mean people, and had decided "never again". But in that period I started playing the tin whistle, and found a forum for Christian whistlers. I joined, but didn't think it would be a good place. But instead of a lot of sceptical welcome posts from people asking about your church and your family (=if you as a woman are populating the world), I got this reply: "now of course we have some obligatory questions to you. What whistles do you have, and what's your favourite chocolate?". That felt good. And this seems to be a good place too, I was glad to find it. I probably have funny pics too (you always do if you have cats) but I hope you'll want to talk some too. Cheers!

Yes, of course we'll converse, and pray for you, too. I completely understand about online "Christian" communities. As far as conversing, Quagmire isn't a big writer, so you're likely to get the least amount of response from him. He's funny and witty, but is oral-oriented, not word-oriented. Both he and Gabrielman spend a good amount of time doing their YouTube channel, which they're trying to make into something that generates us some extra income. So, they're online a lot and check in here. Anyway, that's neat about that other site--good to know something like that exists! Funny pics are always welcome . . . Quagmire simply enjoys graphics and he has a competitive spirit thing going on with Consuming Fire. Welcome again, and while I may not check in here everyday, I'll try do so more frequently than I was before, and be more active (I, too, don't like spending toooo much time on the internet).

Well, I'm sure at least one of them will respond, but they do gaming videos and talk shows that can include football. The talk shows usually talk about games and game developers and games news. I was doing a play-through of Skyrim for them, but once Fallout 4 came out, they wanted me to do a play-through of that. I'd like to have more episodes up by now (there are six), but you wouldn't believe how long it takes us to upload a video with our internet. If we made lots of money, we'd pay for better internet; we could even live stream play-throughs then, eliminating an upload time altogether. The talk shows can get a bit crude sometimes, but they are generally good-natured, are basically devoid of swearing, and are meant to (hopefully) attract YouTubers who enjoy some real conversation but without the meanness and crassness of a lot of YouTube fare. My videos are just me playing through (and I join in the talk shows sometimes). If you're interested, the first Fallout 4 video is here: The first one is mostly an intro to the story of the whole game and me making up my character. I think episode 2 continues the intro story. If you're not familiar with the Fallout series and/or video game violence, you might not like watching the whole series. This particular Fallout is quite amazing in its building communities capabilities. No other Fallout has that, and the game's depth that way is partly due to advances in the consoles (amount of memory in them). But the violence . . . I've gotten used to the visuals (and it's not the worse game out there that way), as it's just a part of video game culture. A lot of players expect it and want it, so the developers include it, but the rest of the aspects of the game are great and the game would be perfectly good and the same if the gore type of things weren't in there. Anyway, thanks for asking! I'll be interested in how Gabe describes the channel. PS: I guess YouTube forces embeds now . . . I just meant to post the link.

Regarding our Youtube videos... we like to do gaming videos mostly, but we do talk about other things, including American Football! I currently am doing a Morrowind Let's Play, where I am playing through the Elder Scrolls III Morrowind. If you've heard of Skyrim, you'll know what it is, at least to an extent. If you've never heard of it, I suggest trying it out some day if you're into gaming. It's a great game, and my personal all time favorite. Eclair, my wife, already told you of hers, and I suggest checking them out, she's fun to watch, and she's funny And finally "Dave" a.k.a. Quagmire is doing a Fallout NV, and X-Com video series. I will warn you now, we stylize our selves as a "special kind of offensive" (we say things that people are afraid to say, for fear of being "politically incorrect"). I have a thread on Morrowind around here some where... need to update that more often

Sadly I'm not a gamer... (and not even interested in American football), not at all actually. But good luck with the channels.
